So I have 6 blue and lavender orpingtons who were hatched May 1st. I keep them in an extra large plastic dog crate with pine shavings and use a lamp to keep crate at 80 degrees on warm end and 65-70 on cool end. I had one chick who was a little behind others originally, skinny, poor feather quality and fluid in crop. When she would sleep it was usually standing and when her head drooped she would lift it up as if fluid was draining and uncomfortable. After intensively feeding her scrambled eggs and polyvisol drops she is now doing fine for last 2 weeks.

So I have another chick acting oddly now. Named it Kevin after the movie up, since I am guessing its a boy due to feathering but comb still very girly. Anyways poor thing has always been fairly calm and friendly so it was until past day I noticed he wast doing to well. Hasn't been eating or drinking much and now is very puffed up and sleepy. Frequently shakes head and yawns. No sneezing or nasal discharge. Poop is running and lots f clear fluid but today has been quite hunter green. I took them outside for first time about a week ago, they are dirt etc. Took them out again past two days for about an hour or so since its been roughly 75-80. I ended up bringing Kevin in early since he just looked miserable and gave him scrambled eggs and some polyvisol since he hasn't been eating. His crop is empty while others are full.

Eating unmedicated purina starter, drink water out of rabbit type water bottle. I have 16 older chicks between 9 and 12 weeks who live outside.

Long story short, I am guessing its coccidiosis but the yawning and green poop threw me a bit so wanted to ask around before starting Coris incase I am missing some other diagnosis that requires different treatment. I did notice very mucousy red/pink poops about 5 days ago but none since. I did suspect they are Kevin's at the time but he acted fine so hoped they are just shed intestinal lining.

Ill try to upload a picture of him and his poop if it helps any.

He is eating right now, but shows more interest in the food than what he actually ends up eating. Happily gulps down eggs though but if cocci wouldn't the eggs not be the best idea due to protein content?
