Sick Chick.. Not sure, Any advice?

I got a batch of baby chicks from a local breeder, I have got babies from her before and never an issue. When I went to meet her I was to get 7 and she gave me an extra, said it was a little weak but otherwise ok. I got her home and noticed that she eye was all goopy, so I quarantined her. Anyone know what it might be? I now have one of the babies that I hatch out and sold with the same problem. Thanks for the help.

Take a q-tip or some paper towel, wet it down with warm water and wipe her eye. She might have just gotten something stuck in there.

Like the above post said--but use alittle warm salt water--it won't hurt and may help keep it from getting goopy again....hope it gets better...

I know what you mean when I first got mine they were sneezing and had some discharge but usually its just a little avian cold and it will go away but hopefully she willl be ok!

Can a 4 hour drive with chicks make them weak or lethargic?
