I received 11 new chicks today a combination of Brahmas and Cochins all standard. They were hatched Wednesday. I came with a pasty butt, I washed it off and dried it very well. Now this evening she was panting hard and laying away from the others. I brought her in gave her Sav-a Chick with a dropper, she is now wrapped in a towel next to me under a light. Her little beak opens with each breath but she is sleeping. Her peep is very soft.

I am new to all this and don't quite know what else to do.

I don't have any suggestions for you but hopefully she pulls through or someone else knows what to do. [IMG] Sometimes they just don't make it.

is she eating much? we had a sick chicky and dropper fed it bread with water or omega milk. i think just getting it some nutrients might help it become more lively. good luck!
