Sick Chick

Please help, I have a sick hen. Her crown is droopy, she is not eating, very lethargic. She is one of my friendliest hens, of 6, all of who seem fine. Her droppings are hard and black and not very big. I did give them a handful of Papaya seeds 2 days ago, only thing that was different in their diet. She certainly looks like she is dying...any suggestions?

If she is that far gone - is it possible you would take her to a vet? It may be some time before you get response on the emergency thread. Has, she been laying eggs yet?

She may be egg bound, or had an egg break inside her.
