Sick Chick!

Hi everyone,
One of my new chicks (approx 7 days old) started making a hiccup-like action yesterday afternoon. I thought she was choking at first but it has persisted through this morning. She is becoming very weak. Any ideas on what it could be? Each time she "hiccups" it moves her whole body.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I had that happen with one of mine but I think she DID choke on a piece of wood shaving and she died within an hour. Perhaps yours does have something stuck down where you can't see it and it won't dislodge but isn't cutting off her air supply enough to kill her quickly? I'd just isolate her, keep her warm and comfortable and keep trying to get water into her. It doesn't sound good but I honestly have not read about this type of thing in chicks. Good luck!
