This is my first year in raising chickens.
I have a 5 week old chick that can't stand up, every time she trys she does a flip(it looks so sad) This is the first day she's done it, before was no problem with her. Ive looked her over and she doesn't appear to have any wounds. However it is 100 degrees here, and i'm thinking it might be dehydration(sorry for spelling) , but i'm not sure.

I'm freaking out so i would love any comments that would help.

Try bringing her in the house in a box(it doesn't have to be big) and cooloing her down. If you have like a guinea pig cage or even a 10 gallon tank that will do or you can just use a box. If your chick keeps flipping over then try holding her up just a little bit and let her walk while your holding her weight.

I put her in a box and placed it in our basement where is quite and cooler. I also showed her were the water is. shes just laying there, kindof making a little purring sound almost, but just laying there. I looked her over twice, theres no punture wounds or anything. She was just fine this morning.

:awwTry holding her up like I said before and if she's not drinking then pick her up and dip her beak in the water for just a split second. She should get a little water. Good Luck.

what breed is this? Are you giving electrolytes in the waterer ...if not then please do so (electrolytes can be purchased from your feed store or ask at your pet store )... in a pinch use gatorade or pedialyte (childrens electrolytes...
