Sick Chick....

We have an Araucana chick that isnt moving around hardly at all, she is keeping her wings kinda spread and she is cold even under a brooder lamp. does anyone have any clues to what it might be? My wife bought 5 of them and Black Australop at Rural King on a whim, and that is the only one that is acting sickly.

Hi there, I had one similar yesterday, it died last night. Oftentimes you don't know why, they just die on you. You can try doing dropperfuls of electrolyte water, but it probably will die - sorry!

It could be stress from the shipping. Like boskelli said, it's kind of just one of those things that chicks die without explanation. You could try doing the electrolytes but it probably won't do much good.
