Well it looks like I have a sick chick. One of my copper marans is acting lethargic and has labored breathing since yesterday. I started feeding it a little bit of sugar water, which seemed to help it last night. I noticed a little burst of energy. It is still eating and drinking, just not quite as much as the rest and isn't eating with as much enthusiasm as the others. Last night the poor thing just would stand there and chirp with its eyes half closed. She is around 2 weeks old and is just a little smaller than her sibling. It did have a little bit of pasty butt going on, but I cleaned that.
