I had chicks hatch on Wednesday; they were for a friend. she's just called and said that one of the babies has labored breathing and isn't really moving around a lot. I searched the forums but didn't really find any help. They are on medicated feed, they are in a brooder outside (I'm in No. Central Florida) it was warm today but no warmer then 85-90. A light is on at night for a little till they get bigger, all the other babies appear to be fine. It won't drink or eat. I've told her to separate the chick and give it water with an eye dropper and check for any injuries. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! I've hatched before and had plenty of babies and never experienced this before.
