Over a week ago I had a hen drop dead off the perch. She was laying every day and I didn't see it coming. Now I've got a RIR pullet that seems ill. Her comb is washed out looking and her tail is droopy. I think she is eating but we saw a watery poop this morning. I don't think she is laying though hard to tell. I have three RIR pullets that I got together and everyone lays in one nest box and I'm getting only 1 to 2 eggs from these three girls per day. I now have 8 hens total (five of other breeds). Where do I begin to diagnose the problem?
