Sick chicken- Can't ind list of symptoms on-line

I just bought this 1 year ols Lemon Cuckoo Orpington hen Last Friday, we exacuated for a fire Sunday, returned Monday. It has been hot, not other chickens are sick. She is lethargic and drooling a pale yellow color quite frequently. She shows no interest in water and pecheck at fresh corn on the cob one time then quit alltogether. She was not cheap and I care about my animals dearly. The only disease or ilness I could find was Cholera- but she doesn't have all the symptoms, just those 2. I also found 2 other people who's chickens experienced the same thing and their hend died, but no one really helped either. Anyone else deal with this and come out of it? I have her in a crate in the house and have dressed the hen pecking on her back (wich was improving). I try to give her sugar water with a dropper, but she just fights me. She won't walk either, but she will stand.

You might try some watermelon. If it is heat-related it will give her fluids plus electrolytes (more than Gatorade, I have read!) to replace what she lost. My chickens love it so it might entice her to eat. Good luck.

A lot of times, a chicken that won't eat anything else will eat a hard boiled egg yolk.

Also, try to get her to eat some plain, unsweetened yogurt. It will help the good bacteria in her gut so she doesn't succumb to some other problem.

Try making some POULTRY VITAMINS& ELECTROLYTES and use a dropper to force it in their throat. You may also consider 1cc of Tylan 50 orally. Give the Tylan 50 once a day. The POULTRY VITAMINS& ELECTROLYTES give every hour until they can drink again. Then offer only POULTRY VITAMINS& ELECTROLYTES in a waterer until they strength is returned.

Thank you for your help.. She didn't last the night. The previous owner is a vet and I got a hold of her this morning. She said she'll replace my chicken- which is awesome. I can't afford to loose out on such an investment. I spent all morning bleaching the coop and hut, then I disinfected the flock and all their waters. I am going to get those electrolytes and vitamins to help prevent any more. Everyone else seems to be okay, but I am not taking any chances.
