Hi, I'm brand new to this forum and hope someone can help and hope my next posting is a little more positive...

My Chicken started moulting about 45 days ago. She is 3.5yrs old. She lost condition and then started to have clear discharge from mouth and nose. Opening her mouth and yawning/stretching. I increased protein in the diet and wormed all the chickens. She seems to have trouble with larger dry food and although very interested in eating continues to drop weight. She flicks her head a lot to remove discharge. Stools are very dark green to almost black, runny and with very little white. She is very alert almost edgy. Her comb is pale pink. I will de-louse tomorrow when I get more powder but I don't think this is the problem. Doesn't have good aim when pecking food.

Didn't lay last season at all.

hope to hear from someone soon....

If she has a heavy enough load of lice / mites, it could be the problem. You didn't mention what you wormed with. There are multiple possibilities for the cause of her problems. I'll give you some of my bookmarks to research.
