Little polish cross hen, about 2 years old, I've had chickens that have had similar symptoms and died, does anyone know what it could be? She's tilting/shaking her head, sometimes acting lethargic or standing like she is in pain, she has lost weight and has green poo. The chickens that have had these symptoms before have gotten worse over a few weeks and then been unable to stand, eat and drink almost nothing, and 1-2 weeks later have died. It is usually only one chicken that is affected, so it isn't viral, and I haven't had a sick chicken with these symptoms for roughly two years. Does anyone know what it could be?
Thanks

Sounds like newcastle to me
If you lost CHICKENS with the same symptoms earlier do u done the autospy ?

Giving multivitamin with vitamin E selenium may help alot
Also boost with some garlic 2 chopped cloved in 2 spoon water and give it to her straight strong enough

Garlic helps in Newcastle regularly using garlic hide the Newcastle symptoms

Green poo maybe cause she's not eating enough

Can you post some photo of your hen and the poop?
A video of her actions would be good if you have one - upload to youtube or similar platform, then provide us a link.

Green poop can be from not eating, infection, worms, coccidiosis or disease like Marek's.
Some of the symptoms you describe sound neurological. What type of food do you feed?
Check her closely for lice/mites, make sure the crop is emptying overnight and get a fecal float and gram stain performed.

When did she last lay an egg? Do you notice any swelling of the abdomen?

With weight loss, shaking and green poop, she may have Marek's so keep that in mind.

Do what you can to keep her hydrated. Offer her some poultry vitamins that contain E and B1. If she declines further and seems to be in pain, it would be a kindness to put her out of her misery. Refrigerate the body and send it to your state lab for testing so you can find out the cause of her illness.

Here is some reading on Marek's http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/the-great-big-giant-mareks-disease-faq

Thank you for the replies.
She has seemed a little better overall, no more green poop but she isn't eating as much as usual.
I don't think it is Newcastle or Marek's because none of the other chickens seem to be affected and there is no respiratory problem.
She stopped laying around the time when she first got sick (3 weeks ago).
I live in Australia and as far as I can find out I can't get an autopsy done.
