Sick Chicken HELP

You can try antibotics but I don't think it will help much. She probably has a bacteria infection, think of it more like a (and I'm not trying to be grose) yeast infection on women. Women don't take antibotics to cure it, liquid diet is what she needs right now to get the crop empty, lots of massaging as well, at least 20 minutes.. And no you don't want to give her vagasill. Lol....she's still a chicken......

I had to go back and re-read the post because I didn't see anywhere's where the hen was having breathing problems? So antibotics doesn't make sense to me exspecially when the first problem was sour crop? With the head/possible brain damage, give her some Vitamins, I'm a huge fan of polyvisol, she should have Polyvisol, Vitamin E and selinium. Are there any head Injuries? Does she have any swelling anywheres? Don't get me wrong, I have used Tylan 50 when needed but in this case, I don't see where it would come in use unless there's something I'm missing?

Im so glad I came across this post! this lady "LACRYSTOL" knows what she is talking about! I bought some cochin and silkie hatching eggs from her and she helped me all the way through my hatch. if not for her i would have lost three of my baby chicks. also I gotta add thank you lacrystol my chickens are the envy of the town everyone compliments me on their pretty colors!

I have never heard of chicken making lots of noise over sour crop. They make lots of noise when they can't breathe! That is why i said what I did. Maybe I just have never had one have sour crop that they make lots of noise with but only time I ever hear lots of noise at night is when they are croupy or too hot.

She had breathing problems because she had something stuck in her throat, was gone by the next morning.
She is all better now, I nursed her back to health.

I am glad you did. I am learning something about sour crops from you guys never dealt much with it. I don't know why I never have chickens with it. Maybe it is because I free range them.

Not a whole lot of information giving about Breathing problems but I'm really glad that things worked out for you and her. Great to hear, she's back in good health...
