So this morning we found one of our five chickens still in the coop while everyone else was out and out. She can stand and walk about but much rather prefers just sitting in one spot. When she does move around it seems to be much slower then normal. When she sits it seems she hunched forward. She will close her eyes for extended periods of time but once you come toward her or if she hears something they open right back up. She also has some messy diarihea although no real redness of the vent area. She is drinking on her own but im not sure about eatting. I have since seperated her from the rest and I'm giving her grower feed (the grower feed is for our meat birds) incase shes sick from fungal or if the feed has lost it's nutritional value. I'm also giviing her buttermilk, as I've read its suppose to help strengthen the immune system. Otherwise I've been searching the internet and reading the books and so many of the diseases out there all have so many similar signs; I havn't been able to come up with a list as to what it could be. I'm unsure as to the size of her crop and hope to check that tonight and there aren't any apparent signs of mites.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
