Hello!
I need some help helping my favorite hen. She is about 18 months old. The night before last I went out to close up the coop and she was in the nesting box with egg yolk all over her. No shell in sight. The next day I went to check on her and she was very subdued. Since then, she has been mostly inactive and is isolating under the coop. I have only been able to get her to take very small amounts of wet food and/or water.
I have given her a couple warm soaks with epsom salt and light massage. I’ve oiled her vent. I have no idea what the problem is or how to help. She is quiet, not making distress sounds. She mostly just stands, but when she does walk slowly, she doesn’t appear to have a waddle. She is not holding her tail down. Any ideas? I’m worried about her.
