I have a mixed flock of 5 pullets and 1 cockerel. They are just a few months shy of a year. This evening I noticed my Columbian Wyandotte following the flock but not participating in chicken behaviors. She's standing a bit away from them and standing with her head down. Almost like she's in time out. I'm not sure what to think or do with her. I tried to give her a treat and the others ran up and took it away from her because she didn't move quick enough to get it.

I woke up to heavy snow covering the ground yesterday :barnieand I can't see her poo. I was quite surprised to wake up to snow when it was in the 60s' just a few days ago. I hate north-central Ohio's Schizophrenic :he:bow:hit:plbb:oops::weeweather. I didn't observe her lagging behind the flock and staring at the ground yesterday, like she was the day before. She's always has been my most sweet, and curious hen - very friendly and trusting. She'll always be the first to come to see what scraps I have in the enamel bowl the girls.

Sorry I forgot to get pics. I'll try and take some today, 4/19/2022.

Getting into anything moldy can cause her symptoms. Digging down into the anaerobic layer of compost can expose a chicken to botulism bacteria which can produce these symptoms.
