Sick Chicken

Valbazen dosage is 1/2 ml given orally, and repeated in 10 days. If you worm with SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer or horse paste, give 1/4 ml per pound or 1.25 ml for a 5 pound chicken orally, and again in 10 days to treat roundworms. Use Safeguard for 5 straight days to treat most all worms, including capillary. @azygous is very good with crop problems. The best time to feel of a crop is early morning, when it should feel empty and flat.

I would think about worming her with Valbazen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer, or take in some of her droppings to a vet for a fecal float. At her age, if she wasn’t laying, I would wonder if she might be suffering from a reproductive infection or disorder. Crop disorders (sour or impacted crop) and vent fleet are also common in some hens.
Thank you. I will look up the safeguard liquid goat wormer and the valbazen. The vets here would not see her. She is laying fine.
