Hi! I am a new member to BYC and I joined because one of my chickens are sick and I need help ASAP.
I have a hen she started laying and she has this black thing stuck to her nose like im not sure what it is. Her face inflates when she breathes. I tried cleaning her nostrils but some of it wouldnt come off. There is a bit of a smell to it too. She also chokes and sneezes when eating occasionally. I tried giving her Vet RX and some ACD and garlic for a week but she seems the same. She acts normal though she is pecking the grass and having fun. Her crop is sometimes squishy too. She also tilts her head up when I cuddle with her and she would open her mouth a bit same with my other hens. Im not sure if its a respitory issue or as someone said sinus canker. I do not have ANY vets nearby and my parents wont buy any other medications for her since they already spent a lot of money on them. Any Advice?
