Sick chicken?

We hatched some baby ayam cemani chicks about a month ago and I came home and saw one unable to move and was very lethargic. I took it out and gave it a bowl of water and it wouldn't stop drinking! I filled their water the day before so there was still water on there but this one was very dehydrated. It was also the runt of the batch and it was born splay legged so we knew it would've been more susceptible to health problems and sickness but does anyone know what kind of sickness this is? After every sip of water the chick would pant and would drool from the mouth and he wouldn't eat. The poop was liquid and smelled of rotten eggs. Any ideas?

Not sure what it is but get some Sav-A-Chic and put it the water! It has electrolytes and probiotics!

It is possible the chick was not able to get enough water and food. But with diarrhea, I would be tempted to start some Corid (amprollium) in the water for 5-7 days to treat for possible coccidiosis. It won’t hurt the chick or the others to take it. Mix a little wet chick feed and water to see if it will eat. Symptoms of coccidiosis are lethargy, standing hunched or puffed up, runny poops with mucus or sometimes, blood, and not eating. If you do start Corid, then it is best not to use b vitamin thiamine, which is in Poultry NutriDrench.
