Please help. My 23 week old pullet is sick with sneezing, hoarseness in her voice, and open mouth breathing. I am isolating her with a heat lamp, food, and water. I have some questions. What can I give her to help her heal faster? What vitamins? Also what can I give the rest of the flock to help their immune systems fight off this illness in the case they may have been exposed? Thank you in advance!

What are her symptoms, exactly?
Are her eyes leaky, swollen, or bubbly? Is there nasal discharge? Have you checked her throat?

Where about are you based? I know here in the Uk there is a nasty strain of avian flu going around, so by law, all domestic and commercial birds need to be locked away so they have no contact with wild/emigrating birds. If u can give as much information as you can, maybe @Eggcessive @azygous @Wyorp Rock @dawg53 @LaFleche may be able to help.

Do u have any antibiotics to hand? The antibiotics I used when my girls had a respiratory problem was Doxycycline, not sure what that is in the US, but hopefully one of our experts I have tagged can help , until then, there are plenty of threads on this site that can help if you put it into the search bar, good luck 🙏

Her eyes look normal I think. I don't see any nasal discharge. I don't know how to check her throat. I thought she was trying to crow this morning because her voice was different. She was free ranging all day and when we put the flock in for the night, she was missing. We found her on the opposite side of the property by herself. When my son picked her up, she was hoarse and breathing through her mouth. She sounded awful. We immediately isolated her and gave her food and water. She ate and drank a little and hung out under the heat lamp. She sneezes every few minutes.

I don't have any antibiotics. Would I need to get them from a veterinarian or from a farm store?
