Originally I thought she was egg bound but now I’m not sure. I didn’t feel an egg when I checked, but when I felt her underside I thought I felt one. She’s lethargic, feathers are ruffled, she looks like she’s hunched, and her eyes are always closed. She doesn’t seem interested in food, and her poop is yellow. Any ideas? TIA!

Can you give her a human calcium citrate tablet with vitamin D3 600mg? Post a picture of her poop if possible. Does she normally lay eggs? Can you get her to drink some fluids and eat some scrambled egg or wet feed?

I crushed some tums and put them in water and gave them to her through a syringe, She normally lays an egg every day, but I haven't seen one of hers in a day or two. The only way she will take fluids is through a syringe. I haven't tried eggs yet, but I will. We have her inside a kennel to better monitor her.

The yellow in her poop is urates, normally white, but the yellow can be a sign of liver problems or egg yolk peritonitis infection.Does she have any enlargement or swelling in her lower belly between the legs?
