I have a 2 month old chicken that just lays around all the time. I rarely see her move. At night I have to put her into the coop she will not walk up the ramp. She will eat if I hand feed her and will drink when I move her next to the water. I have noticed two days ago when she was walking her legs gave out and she fell down. Anyone have any ideas of what may be wrong and how to help? Thanks

I'm sorry your pullet is unwell! Sometimes they can become uncoordinated with vitamin deficiency. Try mixing in some chicken electrolytes w/ vitamins in the water and see if that helps. Since she's laying down a lot, check her over regularly to make sure she doesn't get flystrike. I hope she improves!

I second the electrolytes! To give her a boost you may try giving a sugar water mixture and that usually helps to perk them up!
1 cup of warm water, 1 tsp of sugar and a pinch of baking soda and a pinch of salt!

Hey, welcome to BYC!!! I had a bantam roo once and he was very lethargic and anemic because he had lice. Electrolytes are also a great suggestion, hope your pullet will perk up soon!
