ok been letting chickens out for half days for free ranging. today after letting the chickens out my wife found one in the coop that she thought was dead. well she was basically lifeless and looked very sick. i have put some poly-vi-sol in her mouth with a dropper. Inside her mouth is what would only be described as a clear sticky slime. The poly-vi-sol didnt really go down and she made a gurgle sound. what to be done. i have felt along her neck but dont really know what im feeling for. it feels "normal"

You need to bring her in an isolate her from the others, give her warm dark place. Try giving her some sugar water.

Poly Vi Sol and Vitamin E.

Hopefully someone will come along to give you some advice.

ok so the chicken died since posting the topic. what could have been wrong with her? there were no signs leading up to this. what would an impacted crop do and could that have been the cause? If not what do you think?
