Sick chicken

I have a one year old hen that has an inflamed and red rectum. I noticed this yesterday as it was really bright red. She is still hanging with the other hens and is not lethargic, but she appears to be acting a little abnormal. It must hurt. The feathers around the rectum are missing as well. Will this clear up or is there anything I can do for her to ease the discomfort?

It was hard to get a picture, but when I went out and tried to take one, I noticed the other chickens pecking at her. I am now thinking this is probably the major issue, so I have seperated her to let her get a rest and heal up. She has been trying to keep away from the rest of the flock and this is probably why. I did notice her rectum is really swollen, sort of like an egg is stuck(?) She doesn't seem to be in too much distress though, so I will give her a day or so and she how she does.

Thanks for asking me to take a picture. This caused me to get a further observation which I think really helped.
