Our first batch of chickens roughly 30 started getting sick when they were about 1 yr old, we only have 5 of those left. Now our new babies are getting sick, they are 6 months old. They start out one by one with difficulty breathing and diareaha. This gets worse until they die or we put them out of their misery. Can anyone help?

Without more details it is very difficult even to guess (which is all we can really do anyway)...
Gasping could indicate a respiratory illness such as CRD (Mycoplasmosis) ... Did you have these birds on medicated started? Have you smelled their feed to see if it smells "off" or moldy? Are their eyes runny?

The chickens were medicated when they were born and are being medicated as we speak; however they continue to get sick. Feed is fresh, water is fresh. They start mopping around, trying to breath and making an awful sound, then the diarreaha starts.

Where are you getting them from? Are they in a coop? Free range? I would get a necropsy done if I were you, call the state vet for more information.

We got the first batch from McMurray Hatchery and this second batch came from Polk Hathery. They are in a chicken house and are let out to roam in the pen every morning. Calling the vet today.
