Yesterday I found a week old chick limp and gasping. I did not see any signs of illness earlier. I have been using an eyedropper to give WATER with sugar garlic and ACV . Today she is the same. (seems to be near death) I noticed one of my 6 day old chicks is very small, gasping. Started the same regime. They are in separate brooders now and were not together before.
Any suggestions?

I would get some Poultry Cell or NutriDrench and give them eacha couple of drops daily, plus dip their beaks in water often. SaveAChick electrolytes with vitamins added to water would be fine instead. How do their crops feel? Are they eating bedding? How are their poops, and have you checked for pasty butt? Did you hatch them yourself?

I hatched the 6 day old, the 2 week old was bought from a breeder.no pasty butt, the younger, who is still active, eating and drinking has normal poop. The older that is very sick has diarrhea. I don't think they are eating bedding...not sure what their crops should feel like...i will try the products you mentioned thank you. The older one showed a little improvement today, so I am still hopeful.

Are there other chicks? Do they need to be together for comfort? That would be good if there are no others, as long as no one gets pushed around or hurt.
I put another one I. With the healthier week old chick...seems to make both happy as they are buddies. The sucker chick it just too sick still. Tomorrow I will have to make a decision.
