Well, I have been checking the temperature every hour or so, and have paper towels over the bedding. I have also pulled the chick out every few hours and hand fed her some scrambled eggs, which I read about somewhere else on this forum. She still looked awful yesterday, and wasn't eating on her own. Her eyes were still puffy and swollen, etc. I came out last night in the wee hours and found her pecking around a bit at the food, but with a poopy butt. I cleaned that up and then came out in the morning to find her looking just as bad as ever. I gave her more scrambled eggs in the morning and we went on some errands, and when we came back she was pecking in the feeder along with the other birds. I don't know that she's totally out of the woods yet, but she looks soooo much better. Both eyes were even open at one point!!!!! I think she's going to make it, but it has been a tough couple of days, expecting to find her gone every time I look in the brooder. But, all's well that ends well....
