I started with 13 chicks they're about 8-9 weeks old. Now in the last two days I'm down to 9, with another one sick. I have no idea what's wrong with them. I've raised chicks four other times and this has never happened. The only thing I notice wrong with them is they huddle over and then later on I find them dead. The one who is sick now is huddled over but she ate and drank.

Get some Corid (amprollium) right away from the feed store. It is a cattle medicine to put in the chick's water to treat for coccidiosis which is very common at this age. Treat all chicks at once. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Change it every day. Afterward, give some vitamins and probiotics in the water for several days. Symptoms of coccidiosis are lethargy, weakness, puffed up or hunched appearance, not eating, diarrhea or blood in stools.
