Sick duck, being treated for aspergillosis

Tube feeding and/or giving oral medications can get very tricky if handling them causes respiratory distress, which is why I want to see a video.

I just went through this with one of mine and I almost killed her just by carrying her 100'. By the time I got her into the house she was turning purple and gasping for air.

I can see why you are concerned, I would be too, they are very difficult to treat when they are like that. Let me think about this... When is she due for her next medications?

At 4:15 this afternoon which it’s almost 1 here so I got a bit to go. Can I give her sugar water so she has some food? I can also make her food real watery so I can get get it in the syringe and feed her like that? I know she needs nutrition from food which I just hatched her last three ducklings so I have been feeding her the starter/grower food for the extra protein plus they all get Kale and tomatoes everything all organic food and veggies lol. If she is still drinking I think I would hold off on giving any sugar water or food until you can talk to your vet.

Sometimes she is calm the only issue is she is sick of me poking and prodding that when I go to get her she gets all upset knowing I’m going to do something she doesn’t want. So that’s my other problem, I make her worse, she is fine with vet just not me, the vet did say I could feed her, I just had to chop it up real fine. I don’t know might be best if I just have the vet humanely put her down she is just very special I was trying to save her.
