sick duck help

THanks for the input. I am not to sure if this is what it is. As she dosnt have all the symptoms it is saying . She is the only one right now. I hope it stays that way. As i have about 40 ducks in one big pen for the winter. Getting it from the soil. It is frozen here still. The only thing i can see i had some hay in there duck coop. It might be that . So i clean it all out just in case it was that. They got fresh bedding down. Shavings. I will be watching very closely . I will be checking there food to see if there is anything that dosnt look right. As i mix there food. I did have one bag getting close to the bottom of the bag. Sometimes the food gets bad at the bottom. I have to double check when i close them up. I am so worried right now that this might spread. It says it is a virus. ????

I agree, after reading up on botulism some more, the website I sent you is the only one that mentions it as caused by a virus. I highly doubt now that this is what it is. I apologize if I got you worried. According to what I read, if it is botulism, she will die within 24 to 48 hours. The reason I thought it might be botulism is because of the strange condition of her neck. I thought it might be semi-paralyzed which is one of the symptoms.

I'm hoping she'll snap out of it. If she is still eating, then that's a good sign.

Good luck, and please post an update later today or tomorrow. I'm curious as to what her problem is.
