Hello! When I was waking up my feathered babies today I discovered that one of my male ducks, Domino, was making a weird high pitched noise rather than his usual quacks. He has also been coughing occasionally but it's always just one or two and then he goes back to normal. It sounds similar to the noise they make whenever they eat too fast and food gets stuck in their throat and also kind of like the noise ducklings make. I also noticed that he has been laying down more than the other ducks and whenever he does he makes the same face my hens do whenever they're sick. There's nothing else worrying me besides that as he is still eating, drinking, running, and splashing around as always. Hopefully someone can help me find out what's up with him 😓

How is he doing?

Is their coop dusty at all?

Any bubbly eyes or runny nose?

No one else is exhibiting the same symptoms?

Personally I would have closely monitored, and if it didn’t get better after a few days then I would consider treating for something respiratory, as long as there was nothing else seemingly wrong.
