I purchased a pekin duckling from TSC. Since the day I brought her home she has had watery/runny eyes and a wheeze. She was 5 days old when I purchased her now she is 4 weeks and is still expediting the same symptoms but since yesterday she has had diarrhea, which is either brown and runny or clear and watery, and today was lethargic and not herself. She has been eating and drinking like normal and was acting normal until today. The climate here has been hot and humid (south central PA area). To add more info. She was the smallest duckling at the store even though they claimed she was the same age and I also started giving her probiotics and electrolytes in her water today, plus my other duckling is not experiencing any of the symptoms and she's 5 days younger, a mallard and smaller. I feed her multiple times a day I switch to nature's best organic duck feed last week. But had been giving her 20% chick feed with brewers yeast sprinkled over it for 2 wk. And 18% chick feed with brewers yeat for 1 wk. They also have pine bedding in their brooder and a heat plate instead of a heat lamp. I also have been putting their food in water for them daily until today when I thought I'd try it dry with a bowl of water on the side to see if that helped with her poop. I hope someone can help. Thank

Hello! I have never raised ducklings. I did find this thread - maybe some information in there can be of some help. I also ready that they need access to water to be able to wash their eyes and nares. Maybe someone that has experience with ducks will answer your question.
