My chickens act sort of like that when they are real hungry and I forget to feed them untill late. They just swallow the food and then choke on it, but not near as long.

Could your chicken have eaten something that got stuck in its throat?

Wanted to give you guys an update and see if it would help. She is not doing the weezing thing as much and her breathing seems less labored. She is making a soft gurgling noise when she is breathing though. I put her in a laundry tub with food/water and a 60w red bulb to keep her warm tonight. Any ideas what could be going on? She was scratching around a bit but would not eat any scrambled eggs, not sure if she is drinking water.
