Hello all

I have 6 10 months old girls. All have been laying great till about 5 days ago. Now I'm only getting 1-2 per day instead of 5-6...

This afternoon I went to the coop and one of my girls is acting weird. Her waddle and comb are pale. Her crop is empty. Her tail is down. And she is just sitting still. I do not palate an egg nor did I feel one on rectal exam( sorry I'm a vet tech and yes I went there).

Tried to soak her in warm water just in case she was egg bound.

The other girls look fine..any suggestions?

Are they hiding eggs or losing weight? Change in weather, something scare them or attack them when you were not looking? Drop in eggs can be due to weather, a day without water leading to some stressor, or them just hiding them. A single sick hen isn't always a sign of a flock issue, but separate and observe carefully if feed consumption, weight, shiny eyes, normal poops are happening.
