I bought a goat at the sale barn when I picked her up after the sale she had diarrhea. I got her Thursday night. Friday I gave her probiotics. Saturday I gave her Pepto and wormed her with Cydectin pour on for cattle. Her stool isn't pellets it's form like dog poop. When do I turn her out with the rest of my goats

Has been laying down most of the time. Today she is standing more and moving around more. She has always had a appetite if been feeding her hay and I gave her some minerals and some baking soda.

First thing to do is have a fecal sample run. She probably has worms and she may very well have coccidia. Do not turn her out with the herd until you have these issues taken care of because if you do she will infect the rest of the herd.

Thank you I've got to find a goat vet close by to do a fecal sample for me. Her poop was runny but now it's firm like dog poop not pellets yet.

I think any vet can run a fecal. A livestock vet would be best of course because they can tell you what to use in your area. That said, even a dog and cat vet can read a fecal.

I'm feeding her hay and I'm giving her electrolytes to drink. I got her out tonight to clean out her pen she was real unstable when walking. I'm guessing she is weak from laying around for five days. I will call my dog vet and see if they will do a fecal for me.

Make sure she has access to minerals at all times. Goats know when they are low on minerals, and if they aren't low on minerals they won't want to eat any.

I would continue goat electrolytes in her water. Fresh hay and leaves. Chopped fruits and veggies. No pellets. Kaopectate is better than pepto. I mix up a drench to give mine with karo syrup, molasses and vegetable oil in equal parts. She is probably overloaded with worms, most common problem. Did you give her the pour on orally? Their skin will not absorb it like cows and i use twice the dose for cattle. You might need to go slow at first because she is so weak.
