Sick Golden sexlink. Help.

wow! I knew rabbits could be mean, but that's amazing.

check her over and let us know what kinds of wounds she has, how big, how deep, where located on her body, etc. I hope she is alright.

Hello,

I took a close look at her, she doesn't seem to have any wounds, but there are a lot of feathers in one area of the coop, and she is scared of everything. Me, the rabbit, other chickens, everything. Today, a chicken walked behind her, when she finally noticed that the other chicken was 2 inches away, she clucked loudly and ran away flapping and scared. I also noticed we are getting one less egg a day starting four days ago, when she started acting this way.

I think she was traumatized by what happened. Is there anything I should do? Should I put her down? Will she recover?

Do you need me to get a video of what's going on? Will that help?

Any help will be appreciated,

Jared

I would place her in a dog crate inside the coop or run with her own food and water. Give her extra treats such as egg, tuna, liver, and her feed. This way, she can feel safer without the others hurting her, but still see them. Puppy pads or an old towel for bedding helps to see what she is pooping. Some dog crates are big enough to place a small low roost just off the ground to sleep on.

Hello,

Just as things seemed to get better, it got worse. Today I discovered a spot on the back of her neck that had a lot of broken and missing feathers. The spot is bigger than a half dollar. You can see her skin. I think something attacked her again. I dont know what, though. She is more scared now than before.

I will definitely seperate her from the others now, but is there anything else I can do?

What could have done this?

Hello,

I dont have a rooster, and they are too young to molt right now, they are less than a year old. I did find the problem, however.

I went to a farm store and showed them pictures of what was going on, and they said it might be mites or lice. I treated them all for mites and lice, and things are looking better today. That is all for now, but I will keep you all updated.

Hello,

I wanted to tell all of you my hen is fine now. It turns out there was a protein deficiency in the flock, so the other hens ate feathers off of her. I saw it happen. I got some high protein food, meat bird feed, and I fed it to them for a month. All her feathers came back and the other hens are not picking on her anymore. She is still a little scared, but she is not being picked on and she has fully recovered.

I would like to thank you all for the help you gave me.

Jared
