He might have eaten a twig ganders sometimes try to make nests and occasionally they end up getting stuck in their throat, like said before check his neck for anything that could be stuck. Hope he recovers soon.

Or it could be something more serious like gape worms or new castle disease.

Shaking his head makes me wonder if he has something stuck, Is there any drainage at all from eyes or nares? and can he make normal goose noise?

No drainage from eyes or nares . He seems to drink water fine. He makes normal sounds. Right now he seems pretty good, just a little weak. He even tried bathing, but he wasn't as exuberant about it as usual. I did add some vitamins to his water. I am wondering if it aspergilles. We have had a lot of rain lately.
