I picked up three 3-day-old goslings at the feed store yesterday. They seemed fine last night. This morning, one of them sounds kind of like he has a snotty nose, making kind of moist noises in his nose from time to time. They have a heat lamp, food, water about an inch deep in a ramekin, and chopped grass and clover clippings. Can I do anything else for him? I'd really hate for him to die. (I say "him" because the three were sexed, two geese and one gander. It's the gander having trouble.) Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Is the waterer deep enough for the goslings to dunk their heads into and wash out their nares and eyes? very important for gosing to be able to wash especially when eating. and you may want to get some Poultry vitamins to add to their water, in the mean time get some unpasteurized Apple Cider vinegar and add to their water 1 Tab. to 1 gallon or 1/2 tab to 1/2 gallon. also you can put them into a tub with some nice warm water just deep enough where they can wash real good, he may just have feed stuff inside and needs to clean them out real good. Make sure if you let them bath you towel dry and put them straight back under heat to finish drying.
