I need help!!!! We received a sweet hen (1 yr old) and unfortunately she has declined in her health recently. She was producing beautiful, brown eggs daily that began to become soft then completely broken by the time I went to retrieve them. Since then, she has stopped laying for almost 2 weeks and has seemed sick....her vent has a white discharge, her comb is pale and she has a "tucked" look where her tail feathers seem lower and she's crouched over. She is also lethargic at times, but still eating. She won't take the grit/oyster shells I offer as I originally suspected low calcium re: soft eggs. She goes in the yard roughly an hour per day to graze then stays in the coop. My other baby chicks have recently started exhibiting the same behavior and I am concerned. Their vents are fine, but lowered tail feathers and pale combs/lethargic. I gave her an antifungal medication in vent/electrolytes/probiotics and wash vent daily plus Nutri-Drench. She showed signs of improvement but has since regressed
I don't know what to do and would greatly appreciate any help as my flock seems to be catching this! She is now isolated. I'm posting photos of her posture, vent and the chicks which are also in a similar position often. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
