Sick hen after eating dead mouse...

Update: she has the same symptoms today. Lethargic, isolated, no appetite. I cooked up some canned peas, corn, and egg. I also made a mash by combining her regular (all flock) pellets with hot water (mixing them as they softened until they broke down into a soft mash). She took a couple bites of the corn and cooked egg, and I was able to get a tiny bit of the mash into her beak, but that’s it. She’s still drinking water on her own. I’m going to stop by tractor supply to see what I can find in-stock for medication.

I put Wazine in their water, which she drank a little of. She seemed more sleepy and lethargic today, and stayed in her nest box all day napping with her head tucked into her back feathers. I don’t think she’s going to last the night. Unless anyone has any other ideas, I don’t feel that there’s anything else I can do but wait and see if she’s still with us in the morning. Any medication I could try and get probably won’t make it in time. Just trying to make her comfortable at this point.
