I bought a few mature hens off craigslist not too long ago. They've been in quarantine in the garage because I found lice on them (before I integrated them, thankfully). One also had vent gleet, and appears that it hasn't quite gone away fully yet. I think they are in molt (the lady said they were), because they are looking a little rough in the feather department and aren't laying eggs.
Anyways, so I went to just go say hi to them one last time before I went to bed. I went into the garage where they were roosting on old chairs and whatnot, and the one that had/has vent gleet was panting. It's not hot out tonight (I'm wearing a sweater). I couldn't tell by the dim light in the garage, but I thought I saw she had a runny nose.
Any ideas what this may be?
