Thank you so much @FluffyBottomBantams - do you mean I should check for the ascites or for flystrike?
It’s strange because we have almost no flies where we live -always a breeze off the ocean and rarely very warm. I haven’t even noticed any flies around in the past few weeks. Clearly the wound was an issue and yes I am checking their rear ends!
