Please help identify what’s wrong with my hen(s). Two of our Australorps have white spots on comb and feathers. The bird with the most spots acts fine (1st pic), but the other is weak and can’t stand on her own.(2nd pic)
Thank you
So they both look like they are molting, especially #1. I don't know what would cause #2 to not be able to stand on her own, except a sickness. Try deworming them with Panacure (Fenbendazole 10% white suspension liquid), or SafeGuard Goat Liquid (Fenbendazole): 3cc per gallon of water for 3 days. This should be their only water source for that time slot. Please include any other symptoms you notice, a close up photo of #1, and a full picture of #2's body and her not being able to stand. Hope that this helps.
Molting itself can make them aloof, weak, and have pale combs. They also will not lay eggs. The white bits on their head feathers look like they are finishing a molt. I would give them a couple of drops of Poultry Nutri-Drench or Poultry Cell vitamin tonic daily by mouth or mix according to directions in their water. Offer them some chopped egg or tuna, in addition to their normal feed.
