I have a RIR who stopped walking yesterday. Her legs are tucked up under her and she shifts from side to side. Yesterday her poop was watery and then milky. I gave her yogurt, dried mealworms, layer crumble, and oyster shell to eat, as well as acv in her water. She has been eating and drinking fine.

Today there has been great improvement in her poop...much more solid and normal looking, imo. She still isn't walking, though. She wants to get around and kind of "flops" around to move. She is still eating and drinking. I gave her some scrambled egg this morning, which she loved.

I was thinking maybe worms due to her poop early on, but now I don't know. Would worms cause her to not walk? I spent a lot of time yesterday searching BYC for information and still am stuck.

Here are current poop pictures and a picture of her how she sits. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to say, it sounds like paralysis. Paralysis can be caused by a number of things, from injuries to Marek's, genetics, poisoning, egg binding and vitamin deficiencies.
Is it really hot there? Heat can cause trouble walking and watery droppings.

I hope she gets better soon

It's hot, but not as hot as it has been. The main change in our weather is it is more humid. We get more rain this time of year, so the humidity is up, of course. We had much hotter days, and everyone's been fine. I am at a total loss. I've tried researching many of the things you listed in my other post, but I can't seem to come down to quite the right thing. She moves her head around fine, and her legs are tucked under, which seems unusual when I look at information on Marek's.

She did have moldy feed in the pen a week ago. I don't know how much she ate and if it would take that long to cause problems. Thanks for trying to help me out.

Hi GitaBooks! Since you were so good to respond to all my posts, I thought I'd give you an update on Polly. I broke down and took her to the vet and was able to get antibiotics for her. She slowly got better and better, and finally started walking about 8 days after taking her meds. She began only taking a few steps, which led to wobbly walking, but now she is strong and still improving. She is back with her flock, and every day more like her old self! Here is a picture of her walking around with her sis (she's the one in front). Thank you again for all the info you shared.

That is so wonderful!
