Hi all,

One of my 3 year old hens came out of the coop lethargic today. I’ve quarantined her and given her poultry cell and a scrambled egg. She has drank but I haven’t seen her eat. When checking on her she pooped this. Any ideas of what might be ailing her based on this color/consistency? Crop is fine, belly feels normal. Coccidia? I believe she was vaccinated for it as a chick.
Thanks in advance for any help!

First thing I think when I see that, is the greener color and there's not much solid. That means she's not eating. The other thing I think of is the yellow color, that could mean a reproductive issue.

What breed is she and when did she last lay?

I was wondering if that was the case, the green threw me off. She has had two more smaller poos since last check that are just the yellow, no green. Her last egg came either yesterday or the day before (I collected yesterday & Thursday)and she is typically an everyday layer. She is supposedly a “dominant copper” and I know the hybrids have a shorter life expectancy

Those droppings are pretty typical for a sick hen.
That's very good she's laid in the past couple days! I believe in most reproductive health issues the hens don't lay, not saying its not reproductive but it still could be.
Also yellow droppings don't always mean something reproductive is going on.
Honestly its hard to know what's wrong! Personally I would probably give antibiotics to try, since she could have an infection.
Are you able to get enough food in her? If not I would consider tube feeding, or "torpedo" feeding.
Does she feel skinny at all?

I do have some antibiotics on hand I can give her. I’ll also double check her belly in the morning to feel for an egg in case she is bound - her vent was kind of pulsating which made me think it could be a stuck egg. I didn’t see her eat yet today but she may have before I got her into the crate (though I sort of doubt it she was so slow and lethargic today). I’ll be curious to see if she eats anything in the morning and if not I’ll move to plan B and try my hand at tube or torpedo feeding - she does seem smaller than she should. Poor girl! Whatever it is I hope we can find something that brings some relief, she just looks so downtrodden right now
