Sick Hen- Possible Causes?

Hen is about 3 years old. Acting lethargic, hanging out in the nest all day, not laying eggs. Tonight I notice around her vent is very dirty, mouth had a clearing liquid leaking out, and she smells awful! Help! Anyone have any idea what this is and what I can do about it? We don't have a poultry vet around here!

Yesterday I notice she was hanging out in the nest last night when I closed up. I noticed the mess and liquid tonight. She didn't come back in with the rest. She was hiding in a corner by our house in the leaves. I had to carry her back to the coop.

It’s hard to tell from just hearing about her condition. Do you possibly have a photo?

If the smell is coming from the liquid coming out of the beak, then in wild imaging it’s sour crop. Isolate her and check that the crop is empty first thing in the am before having any food or water.

I would assume that's infection and search for a wound. Or determine if it's coming from her vent or mouth.
