Don't know what happened to my post so here it is again........

I have 3, 2 1/2 year old comet/RIR mixes. 2 are in great shape, 1 has developed a malady. Signs are as follows; lethargic, will sleep when standing, not moving around with her sisters, acts like she's doped up, not eating well, shakes her head, small amount of runny poop and stays off by herself. Crop is in good shape, not egg bound, no lice, can't find worm in poop but difficult to separate with the other two, feathers are great. No changes in coop/fenced pen/water/food since I've had them. Coop is cleaned at least twice a week and I've been using pine shavings since day 1. I don't think she has been laying eggs.

I've done a couple of searches and reviewed the first 20 or so pages of this forum but couldn't find anything that ties this together.

From what I have read I can suspect worms but nothing else. Any ideas?

Unless you've added new chickens recently, if the hen is pooping lime green, it's starvation. If not, I usually start with treating for coccidiosis-it doesn't have to have blood in the stool.I would do it right away. I would also think about poisoning, or a blockage.

Make her something nice to eat, like I do french toast, real soggy.

Poo can tell alot
If there are no new chickens, it eliminates alot of diseases

I know I'm going against the stream here, but I would follow her around and collect a couple of poop samples, and have your vet look at it for worms and coccidiosis (sp?). I'm not big on giving an already fragile bird poison unless that is what she needs. My vet charged me $15 for a routine worm, cocci test and saved me the cost of the meds, the loss of eggs, and the stress on my girls when he pronounced them clean about a month ago. It only takes a few minutes for the vet to look at the sample for you, and you can eliminate one possible cause if they are negative.

I appreciate all the advice. I went by Tractor Supply (only place locally for farm goods) and the only thing they had was Wazine. A guy that raises chickens works there part time and he said I was good to go with it. He also suggested electrolytes. I mixed up two gallons per directions and put 1 gallon in each waterer and we'll see how it goes. It looks like she is headed down hill so I had to do something quick. Now I have to get her to drink.

Wazine gets rid of large roundworms only. That's the most common worm chickens get. Wazine will clear them out. Hopefully you'll see improvement in about 2 days if that's the problem.
