Sick hen with crop issue?

I’m having back luck lately! This weekend when I was checking the chickens at bedtime, one of the hens hadn’t put herself inside, and instead was sleeping under the coop. I put her in, but the next morning she wouldn’t come out, so I separated her to keep an eye. She is relatively alert but laying down, and compliant, which is definitely a sign she’s feeling sick. Her crop is full, and hasn’t emptied these last couple of days while I keep her with only water, so I thought she’s must be impacted? I’ve tried oil and massaging, but I can’t tell if there’s been movement. It’s pretty soft, not hard. Not smelly as far as I can tell.

She also hasn’t been laying, so she could be egg bound, but I can’t feel anything - though I’m a beginner, so who knows. So I’ve also given her a few warm baths, but still nothing.

Her back end/underside is missing some feathers, and is sometimes pretty red too, though I’m not sure if that’s new or if it’s her “normal”.

The only other obvious symptom is her poop: it’s liquidy, clear and yellowish-white with black/dark brown bits. I’ve attached a picture, in case that makes it obvious what’s making her sick!!

I don’t totally know what to do now! No one else in the flock has these symptoms (so far?). I feel worried that I’m not feeding her, but since her crop is backed up, I don’t want to add to that… She’s drinking water. But should I feed her something?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I would offer her mashed up crumble with water to make a paste, and offer it free choice. Also, have the vet order you Emeraid IC Omnivore. If she is pooping, it means some things are still moving through and that is a good sign. You can take her weight with a digital kitchen scale, and keep track of it every few days.

She may have an impaction or sour crop that is causing crop stasis. At this point, I would recommend an xray and testing of the fluid in the crop.

Best wishes to you!
