Have you tried examining her throat carefully with a q-tip? Just try to wipe the back of her throat with it. Generally it will have a trace of blood or actual worms or so to confirm gape worms. I'm not sure what they treat with - but, you can also find that out at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread.
